Do I need to see a doctor when I develop blood shot eyes?

If you have what is termed subconjunctival hemorrhage, which is blood in the white part of your eyes and have no other symptoms, you do not need to see anyone. This is a benign symptom and will clear out in a few days. Sometimes, you may develop a scratchy feeling. However, if you develop recurrent blood shot eyes, you need to see an eye doctor
